Monster Hunters

This is a campaign in Terra Ursa in which all of the PC's are contracted Bounty Hunters specializing in monster control/eradication. They get paid for their work in the field by getting a percentage of the contract negotiated by Herschel, the NPC who runs the show. They have access to all kinds of information, weapons and magical items due to the collection of NPC's Herchel has hired/made agreements with. While the access to money and magic seems high, so to is the danger they face. Monster confrontations are planned to take into consideration 4 to 8 PC's/NPC's up to level 10. If the PC's involved are not at said adequate levels, they should be prepared to take greater numbers of NPC's with them or die trying. Given the high rewards, this is considered a "no holds barred" campaign.

All PC's in this campaign must be at least 4th level to go out in the field. Training up to 4th level can be provided by Herschel. A new PC can purchase weapons and other items "on account" owing that amount to Herschel to be paid out of whatever money they make going out on Monster Hunts. PC's do not have to purchase items "on account" though they will have to pay Herschel for the training if they need to get to 4th level in order to participate in this campaign.

The Stage Setting

Herschel has literally bought the entire village of Misque that he was based in as his own private compound. He has made so much money from collecting bounties and handling contracts related to hunting monsters that he even convinced the entire garrison of the General’s army resigned from their posts in order to work for Herschel.

He has attracted some of the best and the most experienced people to work as teams or as core central staff to support the teams in order to keep up with the demand his notoriety has brought.

Of course, while he always had gotten along with the General, his feat of luring away an entire garrison of soldiers has somewhat strained the relationship with the government,
